The Jiangsu Provincial Government held an executive meeting on Monday to be briefed on safety production and petition work in the first quarter, study and deploy key work in the next stage, hear the report on the recognition and review of chemical industrial parks in the province, and review documents such as "Implementation Opinions on Standardizing the Development of Off campus Training Institutions" and "Opinions on Strengthening the Harmless Treatment of Dead Animals". Governor Xu Kunlin presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.

We must carefully study and implement the General Secretary’s important statement on production safety, firmly establish the concept of safety-oriented development, always tighten the string of production safety, efficiently implement various measures with a strong sense of responsibility and mission, and resolutely prevent and contain major accidents, according to a statement released after the meeting.

We must continue to deepen the special rectification of production safety, focus on hospitals and high-rise buildings, pay close attention to high-risk industries prone to major accidents, and regularly investigate and rectify various risks and hidden dangers, the statement said.

Effective measures must be taken to strengthen tourism safety, traffic safety, and large-scale activity safety, conduct in-depth investigations in key areas such as mines, electricity supply, water supply, railways, and civil aviation, promote the modernization of production safety governance systems and capabilities, comprehensively improve the level of essential safety, and effectively safeguard the safety of people"s lives and property, said the statement.

We must strengthen the implementation of the General Secretary"s important ideas on strengthening and improving people"s petition work, deeply promote prominent issues in petition work, actively listen to the demands of the masses, resolve conflicts and problems, and strive to create a harmonious and stable social environment, the statement said.

The chemical industry is a fundamental industry of the national economy and an important pillar industry in Jiangsu, making it necessary to give full play to the main role of chemical parks in industrial development, improve supporting and carrying capacity, strengthen original and leading technological breakthroughs, increase the cultivation of strategic emerging industries, enhance the resilience and safety level of the industrial chain supply chain, and shore up the new advantages of high-quality development of the chemical industry, according to the statement.

Efforts must be made to deeply study and implement the General Secretary"s important remarks on education, fully implement the Party"s educational policy and the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, strengthen the main role of school education, comprehensively standardize off campus training, improve the quality of school education, promote students" comprehensive development and healthy growth, and continuously enhance the people"s sense of achievement and satisfaction, said the statement.

We must attach great importance to the centralized and harmless treatment of animals that die from diseases, further innovate operating modes, improve treatment efficiency, build long-term mechanisms, effectively ensure food safety and public environmental hygiene safety, and promote high-quality development of animal husbandry, the statement said.
